Cheers, chaps :)

I really need to stop thinking about it all for a while, as the jobs/ideas list is getting of control! :lol: Sufficed to say it will be getting much redder, a bit lighter, better aero, no extra power, and a host of other things I never got around to doing in previous cars.

Hmm I vaguely remember seeing a red car with hi-spec brakes and a bunch of ultra racing braces yonks ago at pw. IIRC it also had front fender braces, if it does maybe its the same car? Pretty sure the guy was an imoc member.

Best check them for buried treasure then! :lol:

We do keep finding bits on there that I had no clue were on it!

Always enjoyed finding that on fresh imports from Japan. Get it home and you would start doing a proper inspection and find more then what the auction papers or agent in Japan had mentioned.

In contrast to UK cars, where you get them home and find less desirable surprises #-o Although, other than the issues I was aware of, this car hasn't revealed any bad surprises. Quite the opposite in fact, which is why it quickly went from being the donor to being the new main car.

The plate and the rear stance (must remember to get a good shot of it!) did sway me :D

Things have started arriving!

Hopefully bringing it home in a couple of weeks :D

Bet your looking forward to getting it all done. Given the spec it was lavished with care in the past so nice you decided to restore. I've done the same on a few cars and it's satisfying to restore back cars like this imo.

Absolutely :D Once I'm happy everything is perfect mechanically it will be going to The Pod. I've not taken one of my projects down the 1/4 since Mule 1! :shock:

It's a load of service items, due to it having not had a proper service for years:

* Small and large cam gasket set
* NS inner CV boot kit
* Spark plugs
* Clutch fluid
* Gearbox oil
* Engine oil
* Oil filter

Once done we can assess how everything is after that and identify if there are any other issues. After driving it I suspect most of the observations I made were things that would be service cured.
