Rattle when warm at certain revs

Post by mr2nut123 »

I realise this could be anything, but at about 2000rpm, I get a metal rattle noise from the drone of my exhaust. It only seems to occur when the car is warm. Happens when stationary and moving. Are there any common things to check? I did have a quick listen last week, checked my rear exhaust grill (as it was folded up).

Exhaust baffles loose mate? How old is the exhaust?

How close is the b pipe to the sub frame?

Bolts/nuts all nice and tight?

I found the cause of this by the way. It was an upper support bracket on the exhaust! I forgot to update the thread. Thanks for all the suggestions as always chaps :thumleft:

Glad you got it fixed :) rattles are so annoying when you can't figure out what is causing them.
