Mr2ben lists full length sills per side if you just need the outer cover

i did the rear sills on mine about 2months ago with the ebay kit.
nice thick good quality kit

only issue i found was the rust tends to spread up into the lower wheel arch a little. Fortunately i had some spare plate at the workshop so made up a small piece on each side to fill the gap.

Dont go too deep cutting the old stuff out and be aware of the foam in the inner sill sections - that are removable behind the rear storage bins inside i believe.

Yeah I think mine is rusted abit in the lower arch I'll take a few photos of the rot to show you what it's like when I get it cleaned up abit
It's got under seal in the inner arch so hopeing its not to bad when I peel it off

Mine wasnt that bad but wanted to cut out as much of the easily accessible bits that i could.
i had some of the dreaded foam rot also, again cut out what i could and what i couldnt get at (generally surface rust only) was ground back, treated with rust killer and then undersealed.

I also had some spray wax left over from another job that i used. I worried it might catch fire though, so i did the rear sections and also had a very small hole (golf ball size) under the drivers door area on both sides, so used that as an access point to spray backwards towards the new sections.
No idea how good the coverage was, but better than none at all.

It's just got a lot worst
The rear arch has rotted through to the boot and all the bottom were it joins the boot #-o and it's got the dreaded form rot on the crimped bit under the foam
I think I'm going to try and find a rear arch (boot) section on a 2 what's being broken up and cut it out and match it up to mine
If anyone's got one with no rot in the drivers side boot corner let me no and hopefully I can save the 2
I'll get some photos up tomorrow for you to look at

That looks spot on
If mine turns out like that I'll be well happy \:D/
I might have to cut mine a half inch higher then yours to get the cut on the inner sill but it's nearly exactly the same damage as yours
Do you do a overlap joint on the sill near the door end or did you but joint it?
It's mad that 10p worth of foam can cause so much damage to the car
I bet most of the scrapped 2s are because of this

Thanks buddy
I'm going to get one of the kits to save trying to make my own
I'm going to get a straight piece that they sell as well to fix the other side under the drivers door
Has anyone put old engine oil in there sills when they finished the job
Thought if you jacked the car right up at one end then put the oil in then weld it up it should coat the inside of the sills
What do you guys think, good idea or am I barking up the wrong tree?

I butt welded the outer sill. I would have lap joined but I don't own a joggler and they are expensive. Note If you try to butt weld make sure you have small gap and not touching as otherwise it warps.

If I did it now i would use the mr2ben panel as then i could have cut out more of the suspect metal. I was chasing holes a in a couple of places in the top line.

As for photo size you can either resize in the edit option in photobucket but this is one at a time.
If you go to your profile icon and hover over it you will have options menu.
Select settings
then select the ALBUMS tab
scroll down to upload options + customize upload options.
Mine is set to 800x600
