I had to get the wheel alignment checked on my 530 Beemer, Rush job just before holiday.

Went to a place locally that uses hunter equipment but they said because I didn't have the standard rims on it they couldn't do it.

Went to another place down the road who said they could do it.

I asked the guy to do the alignment with the engine running as it should be.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
He didn't, he showed me the results in spec when he'd finished.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
I then said PLEASE can you start it then check results.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Once started it had moved.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Still within spec he said.

Paid my

£30 and left.

Now steering wheel is off and at speed on the motorway its very unstable and wants to swap lanes.

Not impressed at all.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
They did offer me a free re check but you get the feeling it wont be any better next time.

Little trick is to get them in spec, print out the results then tighten everything up.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Course its moved by then but the results on the print out look good.

Hard to find someone who gives a s4it what they are doing.
