Yeah I hope so too although I think summer is already over
So first order of business at the weekend was changing the perished driveshaft cv boot, simple enough:
Then I moved onto getting the lower arms, anti roll bars, drop links, hubs, new discs and porterfield pads and calipers back on, I didn't have the caliper screw tool for rear Pistons so improvised but never again without the correct tool
Once all that was done I changed the brake lines to my new Goodridge braided lines, unfortunately nothing goes to plan, one of the stock lines were jammed in, had it out within a couple of hours however needed to file down the edge slightly as it had been pressed out too far to get new line on, here is OLD vs NEW:
Once that was done I quickly got the 6 point harness eyes all bolted in then seats and harnesses in along with the steering wheel and TRD gear knob from my old 2:
Then wheels back on and ready for a test drive:
Let the car heat up for 10mins or so, then disaster struck or so I thought, heard a whine then a pop, checked the engine bay and the downpipe was sitting loose:
The downpipe had broken loose off the vband joint so off came the downpipe and clamp:
Luckily we have one of the best tig welded in the business on our premises so got him to do a decent repair:
Ordered a new gasket for dp to flexi then I can get it refit then test drive it to make sure all is 100%
