Trim round door tops supposed to be away from body? - pics included

Post by toecutter »

Are the trims round the door tops supposed to be away from body like this? Hard to get a good picture but there is a gap. Or should they be flush? They are flush further down just not at the top.

Been that way since I got it and I keep forgetting to find out. Also in the last pic there is clearly damage, including to the rubber seal inside, is this a break in attempt? Also been that way since I've had it.

Pictures were taken 2 years ago, it's not that dirty/faded anymore

From memory, it's supposed to be like that.

That is normal. Just stripped those trims from mine, last week.
The crease does look like someone has had a go at it, in the past.

There are drainage channels in there & they tend to get blocked with dirt, etc or people sometimes put silicone in there when trying to cure t-bar leaks although this just makes it worse.

Water is supposed to be able to run down there and then out of the small vents at the back of the side windows.
