I have a Rev 3 Turbo. Not put it on a dyno but it had a new turbo last year and good compressions.

I get about 20,000 miles out of those T1R rears running 34 psi.
Pressure checked every few weeks. Tracking/wheel alignment checked whenever I have tyres changed. New std shocks a couple of years ago.

Maybe you only use your car on a track? lol

20,000!!! No way! That's very very good, do you ever hit boost? :P

To be fair I think my tracking needed set which probably had a big effect. I'll definitely be getting the tracking set as soon as the tyres are on.

Yeah I hit boost... those modern car drivers often get surprised how quick an old mr2 is.... and how well it goes through corners without having to use the brakes lol.

Sounds like you need to check your tyre pressures (i am running 34psi front and back) and get your alignment done.

Or maybe you been doing a lot of drifting! lol

20,000 is a lot out of any tyres IMO

I'm lucky to get 5/6000 out of my AD08R's  I have found the T1R's on my MX5 to last quite well though, but 20k is still an achievement lol

I've only ever had one set of T1R's killed them in under 5k miles on the front of my old Saab 93 aero (only 280bhp). found that they went 'off' really quickly too

can you get federal 595 evo (not the nankang-esque 595SS or the trackday 595rsr) in your chosen sizes? I've got them on the front of my Laurel and have been mega impressed with them. it's hard to compare tyres across different cars or things I've driven on years ago but i'd go as far as to say they're the best performance "budget" I've used

The front T1Rs last about 30,000 miles running them at 34psi.

34psi for the front tyres is higher than the figure on the door data plate. I went up to this many years ago when there was a production run of T1Rs that had too much flex. The newer tyres dont have that flex issue but I got used to driving with 34psi on the front.

Spirited road driving when safe to do so.

I have not taken the mr2 on a track, but I am a track trained biker so I am comfortable cornering at speeds without braking that have many road drivers going for the brakes or running wide on the exit or cutting the corners on the entry. Dont know why but it seems to annoy some of them and they will catch me on the straight tail gating me passed the speed camera or upto the next junction where I will obviously not be going any faster. I will lose them in the corners again... and they will tail gate me on the straights again.
Not exactly driving like Miss Daisy!

There are plenty of road bikers that are faster than me on a bike,... but I hope to live longer!

LOL at the wonder batch of T1-R's!

I'll look into Federals some more Rob, had a quick search which brought up some poor reviews but I'll look again.

Make sure you're looking at reviews for the 595RSR - it's completely different to the cheaper SS595.

And the 595 evo, which is significantly better than the SS but I imagine not a patch on the track focused RSR
