front lights not level when popping up (sleepy eye)

Post by ryanaj79 »

Hi folks, don't know if anyone else might have come across this,
but I installed a sleepy eye switch for my 2, and when trying it the drivers
side light doesnt lift up as much as the passenger one, so when i got them up a quarter or half way, it looks wonky.
However, when I move switch all way they go level fully up..

anyways, unplugged the kit and used headlights normal, and even though
they move up quick the drivers one is definitely lagging behind slightly until
they both open fully.

Does anyone kno why one is slower?

cheers

Try lubing up the cams and motor joints that sort of thing?

I had a car where the passenger side popup was slower than the driver's side. Despite swapping both motors I never managed to fix that behaviour. It was a good deterrent (as if I needed one!) not to go for the broken headlights "look"

haha, ive been wondering whether its worth it, as I can't be bothered to get motors out an spend an age investigating it...
cheers for your replies, Ive popped some wd40 on the joints that i could see, using but still no difference,
think I'll just keep them as is :)
