Best Steering Wheel?

Post by Ginjaninja92 »

Hey all,

I realise that's a bit of a rubbish/generic title so apologies.

I currently have a Momo Corse 350mm leather wheel, which I really like! But it's very worn and really needs seeing to.

I looked at getting a re-trim but it would be as costly to just buy a new wheel.

So, anyone have a wheel they think is particularly good? Also, does anyone have experience with the ebay fakes for circa £50?

Don't get a eBay fake. Prob be able to bend it in half. Momo, sparco, omp.

I'm looking at getting a reverie full carbon steering wheel. 100% carbon fibre construction. 300 grams. 8)

there is no "best" in terms of looks, its all down to personal taste however quality wise there's pretty much nothing that can compete with a genuine Nardi or Personal (same manufacturer)

I've got a 330mm Nardi deep corn, black perf leather with red stitching - it was about £235 from driftworks, and worth every penny

the Personal range start at around £150, which is nothing for a quality product :thumleft:

Don't buy a fake, my MX5 came with one fitted and you could literally bend the steering wheel while you were turning

I've had OMP's - very nice wheels, and also Momo which aren't bad.

Would love to try a Personal Grinta - they're a lovely looking wheel!

Thanks for all the replies people.

Rob that wheel is gorgeous! Really caught my eye.

Red that wheel is ridiculous! In a good way obviously :D

Thanks for sharing experience Cal, appreciate it.

Anyone have experience using the Royal steering wheel re-trimmers? Heard good things but they're at least £120.

I really like wood steering wheels. I dunno if this particular one would look out of place in an SW20 but I think I'd like one anyway:

280mm in an MR2?! :pale:

I run a 330mm in my MX5 and it's perfect, but 280mm is a LOT smaller!

Had one on the Supra, one of my favourite steering wheels. I'd snap it up if you can get it for a decent price, they are getting rarer (and more expensive) now since they were discontinued a few years ago.

I didnt bother with it but maybe i should have asked him how much he wants for it.

I could always pick it up for someone else if they wanted it.

I will enquire.
