I've been revving it higher and higher in second and third, but still never managed to hit the limiter (and I don't want to)

The standard Rev 3 ECU cuts the fuel injection above 7400rpm. The stock rev counter is a pretty crude device so it can be miles off the rev limit.
There's a slim chance that your ECU has been'overclocked' by changing the standard 16Mhz crystal for one of a higher frequency. This has the effect of raising the rev limit.

Standard ECU, but it's been fettled I think. The cover is spaced off by about 8mm to accommodate extra wiring inside the ECU

im surprised its still pulling strong up that high.
at low boost/hp levels i could see why, but mid to high boost peak power is going to be at the 6-7k rpm range. theyll be no torque at all 7.8k imo.
unless you got cams and decent turbo
ive had my blitz ecu round at 8k, but really there is no power in 3rd gear upwards much past 7k.
if it were me, i wouldnt rev much past 7.5k to be on the safe side.
im sure a dyno pull would help you decent how high to go.

Yeah it's probably not worth revving that high but it makes me feel like there's a K20 turbo sitting behind me
I've always felt the car feels quicker than it should be, I'm wondering now if more has been modified than I knew! Feels pretty damn quick at 1.1 bar on CT20B, definitely faster than the 313bhp Scooby I owned previously

I you'zd to shift 7.5 blitz ecu still pulling ... wouldnt go much past that
