As the title says, anyone done this before and know the costs?
My current car has a private plate valued at £600 quid, I'm not really bothered about a private plate and any money could go towards new bushes etc.
Also anyone sold a private plate themselves and how? or anyone used a site/company and would reccomend them?
Anyone know what the cost are in reverting private plate back to original?

£80 to put a plate on retention for 10 years now and can be done online via the DVLA portal. They will issue you with a standard plate most likely the original but not definitely.
sorry can't help with the sale

What's the plate? If you sell privately it's just a case of informing the dvla.

Plates WIL2865 ideal for a william but not great for a Paul.

Plate is not worth £600, the number plate websites will always give you a massively overinflated valuation so you list with them. Kind of like estate agents but worse.
But... these days it's only £80 to put it on retention for 10 years so should be worth your time. Just list it on all the plate seller sites, they're all free to list.

WIL 2865 is just a northern irish plate, worth about £199 to someone who really wants it.
