I had bad creep issues with mine. Had to fit a restrictor ring at bottom of downpipe which did fix the issue. Would be nice to not need that once I get the turbo sorted. Should I be looking at a different/clipped turbine or porting the wastegate or both??

The perspective makes it look wrong but the verniers are near enough inline with the inner diameter of the exducer.

as you can see, the turbine has seen better days. both the turbine and compressor are not magnetic - that mean they are ceramic?. TT told me it had a ceramic shaft... looks and feels like steel to me and it is magnetic.

Any help identifying whether this is a hybrid or what's been done to it much appreciated. TT told me the compressor wheel and housing are standard but having done plenty of googling I have to disagree.

Bob I'd like to send it down to you as you seem much more cooperative and helpful that TT but at the same time I would ideally find somewhere more local where I can take it in and speak to someone face to face. I am off away this week so will have to put it on hold for a bit either way

The turbo looks stock apart from a bigger comp wheel.
It should have had a steel turbine wheel fitted at the same time as the comp wheel.

I would not clip the turbine wheel, you need as much drive from that as you can get for the bigger comp wheel.

The wastgate needs opening up to enable a greater flow.

Looks just like a ceramic one to me and most upgrades do just use the stock steel turbine wheel and shaft.

The turbine is the same as a steel replacment but the comp wheel is bigger as can be seen in this photo with the comp housing fitted on a stock wheel.

But all stock turbines i've seen only have 10 blades...
Is the compressor in good enough condition to re use?

Yes sorry I should have said stock size, it does have one extra blade.

The comp wheel has no damage so can be reused.

how do you mean? bigger than the one i already got? I thought it fit snug in the inlet?? and i was under the impression that if anything it was too big for the existing turbine...?

If you wanna speak on phone I might be able to talk this aft, if not then this eve.

That is the bigger housing fitted to a stock comp wheel, the one that came with the turbo is bigger and fills out the housing ok.
The photo was just to show it does have a bigger comp wheel.

I got confused myself cos I didn't look at who was posting. I thought it was bob saying my comp wheel looked lost!

Whats the plan then bob? what parts need replacing? Can you get hold of an identical turbine wheel? would you recommend clipping it? and can you port the wastegate without too much trouble?
