500 bhp is a lot of power for a mr2, personally i would be looking at a GT35 or similar, I presume the engine is fully built and you have all the supporting modifications in place ?

You won't get 500bhp from a 46 trim t3/t04e

That is a LOT of money for old, second hand gear, considering a brand new turbonetics t34 is about £650, a manifold adaptor is £40, a new tial wastegate is £180, theres about £75 of bends and flanges in the downpipe and about the same again in oil feed and return lines.

Not to say its a bad kit though, I'm actually piecing together a t3/t4 set up for my own car right now, and it won't be anywhere near £1k. It's just not what you want, and wildly overpriced.

I like in his write up where he states its 'Barely used' That thing has been used ALOT judging by condition very corroded down pips, inlet don't look to go neither and neither do the fins. Then look at the user name.

My turbo was rebuilt nearly 2 yrs ago and its still looks in better condition than that LOL

Now £1000 for a turbo you don't know, looks in that condition with no guarantee? You either have more money than sense or under some kind of medication and forgot to take it LOL

Now me, i would go for this one, a nice rare bit of kit

Or failing that a brand new turbo

A lad said gt30 around £900 then £300 for bits depending on the exchange. But thinking at it now he might of ment oil feeds etc. We only had a brief chat.

I paid Tim £2000 a few years back for a gt30 kit, worth every penny as it was such a great fit, if you can get a direct fit for a mr2 for £1300 i would be a bit suspicious :-k

Ahh, I missed this post, A Mate " kind of answers my question"

Getting the adapter and then downpipe to match up with the standard set up and a garrett turbo is worth it's weight alone :eye: , not an easy feat if trying to DIY :pale:
