Hi all
I am doing an auto to manual swap on my MR2.
I am assembling the parts as we speak so I am nearly there!
The biggest concern I have is dropping the fuel tank.
Do I have to drop the tank to do the swap?
As I am swapping a auto to a manual and to be honest in 6 months time its all coming out for a turbo or v6 swap, is there anything stopping me running the line through the cockpit and through the firewall to connect up to the slave cylinder, obviously with a custom made line?
does it need to be hard copper? can I run it all in braided line and clip it internally?
thanks and sorry if my question is a bit dumb

There's nothing stopping you running the slave line through the chassis but removing the fuel tank isn't that difficult it only takes a couple of hours and will allow you to inspect the hose from hell at the same time

We talking coolant hoses?
Anothet silly question maybe but do you know of the autogearbox bolts are the same as the manual one?

Yes the metal coolant pipes that go to the heater matrix, one breaks where it's bolted to the chassis and they can corrode and leak on top of the fuel tank.
Ive no idea about the gearbox bolts
