They don't fit with that tyre though so I'll be going 245 like everyone else does and 215 front. I'd record it but like you say, the microphone may well just distort it to a horrific noise.

The rotas are 17x9 rear can't remember the offset though, the tyres on there are 255/40/17. They don't fit with that tyre though so I'll be going 245 like everyone else does and 215 front.

Little update, got my new wheels on!
Rears have gone on pretty easy, just had to remove the 5mm spacers and roll the arches. Still a small issue because of tyre size and spring wear though. My drivers side sits lower than my passenger side at the rear so the drivers side catches the wheel arch at the moment. I will be getting 245 width ASAP to try and rectify this. I don't really want to flare my arch. Too scary!
Fronts I had to put 5mm spacers on as they are et44 offset. I also put my 215/40 tyres on from my old wheels as the 225/45 was a fag paper away from my strut.
I'm happy with the look of the wheels but I need the 245s and I also need coilovers as the ride height is slightly higher looking at the front so they are my next purchase I think.
