Price advice.. Rev3 turbo import shell ??

Post by RyanRs »

As most probably know, I am stripping the beast down as need the money ( :-( ) and i have not even considered what to do with the shell, what its worth etc?

Its a SMG 1994 import, T-bar. never crashed, no rust of any significance.

It has the windscreen,t-bars, doors, all glass (tinted rear 1/4's) tinted rear window, engine lid, Boot, wings, bonnet interior trim minus seats, steering wheel & clocks. also loads of receipts / history etc.

Only downside really is a small dent in the rear 1/4 where my friend dropped a adjustable spanner on it :@ and i had a bmic setup so the boot firewall has been cut (can be welded back in quite easily)

What is this worth to sell?

Thanks

I bought my current T-bar shell for £150, but needed work on the sills.

A good clean rust free shell will fetch £200-£300. Sold my old tintop shell that was mint for £200.

scrap value round here at the min is about £80 for a full car, anything more than that is a bonus. The thing is,anyone buying a shell is committing themselves to spend a lot of money and/or time on building something up and mr2 shells are far from rare so there's no real value in it.

you'll make more money by selling the bolt on panels and squashing what's left

its worth scrap value to sell but if you want one to buy one it will cost you hundreds.

Tried three breakers in Medway area and none will take my engine less rev2 shell.
Bobbing breakers will take it for nothing but has to be rolling shell.

Thought they woul be worth more than that - good luck!
