MR2 MK2 Rev 2 Turbo Missing valve attached to BOV?

Post by hippidy »

Hi, I've noticed a T-section pipe near the BOV, looking at pics I've noticed that it's missing what looks like a valve between one of the two pipes.

Is it a simple one-way valve? and is it actually needed?
Thanks.

Yes it is needed with the stock BOV

VTV valve is approx £40 from toyota.

You need it for the stock bov. Its not a simple one way valve though it does limit air but lets a little through.

I did manage to find it for £37 from the US. Not sure about import taxes etc. though.

+20% on total paid, plus any handling fees by RM or PF.

The £37 was just for the postage, it didn't include the price of the valve itself :(
