I used to find the mr2 considerably slower with the roof off , looks like great fun though

On a smooth (ish, yeah I know combe isnt completely smooth) dry track, yeah the 2 can handle pretty well.

On a slightly damp, bumpy b road the evo will eat it alive.

Not entirely sure what your implying, but for sure they'll be some drag with the roof off at the high speeds.

Yeh I didn't find it smooth! Had to hold on a fair bit, ha.

But yeh I'm sure if it was wet it would be a different story. And I'm fine with that. Wet weather performance is of no importance to me.

I just thought Id pop up as I had fun (even a noob to track driving) with one and I remember this thread mentioning a comparison.

I drive a gt4 st205 at the mo and its a very pleasant car to drive a real demon in the wet and yes i do miss the mr2 and the fact it was always a handful .. i wouldn't say it like having stabilizers but it is a very shore footed and reassuring drive especially in the wet , i can full boost 2nd and 3rd no problem in the wet couldn't do that in the mr2 if it was damp my gt4 might not be as focused as the mr2 but it's definitely a drivers car imho
