Re: My dyno results - what's holding the car back?
What do you mean base map?
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Base map on the power fc assumes stock everything.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Surely you have larger injectors for your 3076?
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Or do you just mean a
'starter' map to get you going?
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
i have run over 400 on a sidemount for reference on my old car.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

Re: My dyno results - what's holding the car back?
I was also thinking how much you got to on your PP smic.
I'm sure the intercooler is good for as least 400bhp.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

Re: My dyno results - what's holding the car back?
So it's not technically been mapped then?
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
It SHOULD be mapped before any boosting or aggressive driving.
Certainly before dynoing it.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
The base map is only there to get you to the mappers/dyno, that's it's only use.
It should not be driven on that map.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

Not mapped and run on full boost to the redline?
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Did they give to AFM printouts on the dyno, and did they listen to the engine for knock?

Re: My dyno results - what's holding the car back?
Cool- if you're monitoring knock and AFM then spot on
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Sounds like you've got more power to come just from a remap if that's the case.

But what beats me is people including me have put tons of posts up here asking for advice on things during our builds(after all thats what this forum is partly for) and get nothing back except,

"you should know" and we get the impression we asked a stupid question.
It is only when it looks like you have done something catastrophic that the experts come out the woodwork and have their say.
Not you or anyone personally but happens way too often and people jump to conclusions.

Yeah- I get what you're saying, and I reckon you'll find it's cos a lot of the folks don't actually know the answer to your questions, but don't want others to know it.

a really poor attitude to have Odin, it's not as though it's spam posts on an unrelated matter.

no, not when it's issues that are near identical, post up your own thread mate and we'll try and get to the bottom of it, save anyone getting upset in this thread

Re: My dyno results - what's holding the car back?
It is not a poor attitude I don't think, in the last 6 or so posts there's been nothing said about the OP post.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy reading about your situation too but out of courtesy I would have made a separate thread.

While similar your issues are not the same as mine.
My housing at 63AR may be too small.
I just don't want to muddy the waters on getting input.
I have a fair idea but more would be welcome.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

Re: My dyno results - what's holding the car back?
My main issue is finding a good Link G4 mapper who also knows about 3S-GTE.
All the Link mappers seem to be Nissan specialists

Re: My dyno results - what's holding the car back?
there's 2 up this way.
The guy Grant
who's doing my car and Chris at dynatune about 90 miles south of me.
Grant usually does another brand but he's good with the Link ecus too.
I'll get details for you

Re: My dyno results - what's holding the car back?
I couldn't see a link ecu on their site but they might be worth a call are eurospec2000 in Guildford.
I had mine mapped there a few years back and Romain managed to get me a few extra hp after a so called MR2 specialist had mapped mine and it was less than stock.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
My car was being held back by something when it was being mapped last time.
I have a gt3076r and 800cc injectors but no forged pistons(currently getting fitted).
The mapper couldn't take it to 17psi without getting detecting knock so mapped it to 16 psi.
He thought it was either my ic or compression from the exhaust.
I was leaning towards it being the ic(ebay type
) so I bought Martins Spearco off him but I'm starting to wonder if that will be good enough? I'm looking at the Chargecooler Rob recommended to him on another thread.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

Thread's been semi-pruned but along with Odin's original message asking people not to hijack the thread so it's a bit confusing now.
