I've been doing a bit of research on this and haven't come to a conclusive answer so I though I'd ask on here I know a few members have a lot of experience with motor racing.
The question is does water meth injection at a 50/50 mix increase hp? I'm using it as a way to reduce intake temps and decrease the chance of detonation as I'm going to be increasing the boost

I know but I'll take just people's experiences
Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Effect of water injection on bhp?
when i was getting my last car mapped we did a power run with it running and with it not running, while running i lost around 1.9 bhp, not much but supposedly it allows you to safely run a little more boost when at your intake cooling limits.
personally, i wouldn't bother with it again, i would prefer to just upgrade whatever i'm using to cool inlet temps . that's my 2p

Yeah big can of worms right there .. i tuned my car to work with w/m and enjoyed some extra hp .. but experiences do seem to vary .. i think its worth doing just for knock suppression .. if you get some extra hp thats gravy
That my 2p
