Re-spraying is not going to repair the split i have in the horizontal seal on my drivers side, nor will it repair Julian's....
And if I am going to buy one, I would want a matching pair... attention to detail and all that.

edit....just seen you said get some used ones and respray....I still like the idea of brand spanking new ones to go with my brand spanking new T-Bar seals.

Fair enough but the price you have been quoted is about 10% of the value of most of our cars for 2 bits of metal! Proper rubber door seals you have to buy new or it is a false economy but the door scrapers are purely cosmetic.

So long as the used ones you get gave the plasticised outer skin in tact and it hasn't broken away to reveal the chromed part below then you will get a good result if you do it yourself or take it to a body shop.

Have you tried here for new ones?

Well Jesse Streeter seems to have come up trumps.
Prices from Toyota Japan. This is for one set of horizontal external window seals and the T-Bar version that rises from the wing mirror up to the t-bar.

> 75506-17020 - 4,666yen. in stock. (£27.07)
Total £128.08
Massive difference to Toyota GB! For the same parts I was quoted £384.29!

I asked how much to ship two sets to the UK and this is the breakdown in cost:
Cost of items ¥44,152
Bank fee to pay seller ¥630
My commission ¥3,500
Shipping to Europe via EMS assuming 8.0 kg ¥13,600
* (I could be off with the weight but what ever it costs to send Ill pass on to you)
Rough Total in JPY: ¥61,882
*Including PAYPAL: plus 4% paypal fees ¥64,366

So that is £373.48 for two sets (£186.74 each)

If there was more than two then i reckon this cost would decrease due to share of shipping costs.

That's a good price. If you're thinking of doing a bulk order then I'd be up for a pair of the external door/window seals (75710-17020 & 75720-17020).

The strips were about £42 each, delivery was £26 - but I had a few other things in the order. So you could probably get them for about £100 all in.
