I have an issue with the central locking not working on my mk2rev1.
Locking or unlocking by keys will not open the other door, but the
'door lock' button on the drivers side does work.Could anyone point me in the right direction please?

I've got a similar problem with mine Jay. The problem seems to be from an electrical switch on the back of the lock on mine. You'll need to take the door card off and have a look for something that looks like a yellowish thing with three wires coming off it. Yours might be broken or hanging off...
Copy this number into eBay 291437559779 it's the listing for the left hand side one. I'm not sure which side you'll need though.
