[Mk2] [Turbo] Where should this go?

so just put a rev2 engine in a rev1 shell... Cant for the life of me remember where this screws into.... Can anyone help? Thanks

As the shell is rev 1 I did wonder if that was from the cable driven speedo in the dash cluster, but I'd always assumed that would have a square end??

Another vote speedo drive it goes on the top rear of gearbox

Ahh yeh... Does seem like it is the speedo cable now you say! Oh well one less thing to do

If you've fitted a Rev2 gearbox, you'll need to fit the Rev1 cable speedo drive adaptor in lieu of the electronic one.

Every gearbox has an adaptor to work the speedometer. You'll find it at the back of the gearbox.

Rev1 has cable drive, Rev2-5 has electric.

On the back of your original gearbox the part that cable fits into is removable from the gearbox, remove it carefully and fit it in place of the electronic sender fitted to the gearbox now in your car
