[Mk2] [Turbo] Mk2 turbo ignition short

Post by Wathall »

Hi can any one tell me which wires ,relays and fuses are part of the ignition system .as in all of them and there where about think I have a brake in a wire or bad relay as not getting a spark now ,

I had the car running before but missing under load , waiting for new coil pack leads and plugs , the dizzy and rotary arm is good, but now it will not even fire so am pritty sure there is a brake somewhere or a relay has gone just don't know what to check

Check the 4 pin connector that goes to the dizzy housing first. If you look at the dizzy cap face on, the connector is at about 4 o'clock. Check it's sitting snug, the contacts are clean and the wiring is good!

Wait until your new parts arrive and fit them. Then check for 12V at coil and ignitor. Then turn over and check for a spark.

No point in delving into electrics unless you have to.
