Plastic sheet covers inside the doors

Post by Rev3-MR2-Turbo »

When you take the door cards off, there is normally a plastic sheet cover on the inside of the door. These are missing on my car and i want to get some to stop any road noise and possible condensation coming into my car.

where can i buy these?

I will get some butyl strips to attach it with.

Any strong plastic will do, like rubble sacks, Waterproof building membrane etc, just cut to size and stick it down.

pretty much the size of the door card just measure the profile and take 1cm off all round.

Alternatively, you could fit something such as Dynamat. This is purpose made sound proofing as the plastic membrane is there purely to protect the door card and switches from rain seepage and condensation within the door. The plastic has minimal sound suppressant properties.
