Hi, I have a 94 rev 2 tubby tbar.. After a two stage boost set up on for sensible road driving and other for boost fun...
1. Recommendations on controllers
2. Any guides on how to fit (what piping to connect solenoid to)
3. Acceptable pressures for a ct26
4. Does Viv I keep reading about need to be modified to change boost pressures
Thanks

If you have a 1994 that should be a rev3 with a c20b turbo?

Re: Mr2 boost control fitting advice/ idiots guide
Late registered rev2 can come with an L (94) plate, che k the seatbelt label for date of manufacture
The tvsv is a blue plug under no.4 runner on the inlet manifold, disconnect it and fit your boost controller. If you don't you won't really get any boost control
It can simply be plugged in again if needed.

It's a 94 and defo a rev 2... Spoiler 3 piece and ct26... However it does have lsd opinion as its a gt... Anyone got any pictures of boost ancililleries where Ebc solenoid plumbs into and vsv being disconnected?
Re: Mr2 boost control fitting advice/ idiots guide
It's not a 94, no matter what your v5 or reg plate says.
3 piece spoiler will indicate the car is anything from a late 89-late 93.
Seat belt tags will usually give you an idea, better yet cross reference your vin number.
The tvsv plug trick doesn't work on the gen2s from what I remember.
you need to block the right hand port on the actuator if you want to fit a boost controller.
I'm assuming insurance are aware of this modification?
Googling what you want to know will reveal plenty of pictures related to the mr2 and boost controllers.

Recommendations: Gizzmo MS2, Blitz DSBC, Joe P MBZ...the list is endless
Fitting:Assuming it's a pre 93 turbo..
Plumb the boost controller (manual or electrical) into the hose that goes from the turbo compressor housing to the left port on the wastegate actuator. The other line from the wastegate actuator goes around the block to the t-vsv and needs to be blocked or the tvsv connector removed.
Pressure: Max 17 PSI if everything else is in great working order
Viv??

I'd be surprised if unplugging the doesn't work on the rev1/2's, it's essentially the same thing, no power to it means low boost always cause it can never energise if it aint plugged in.

it does make sense for sure.
i only mention it as i remember reading yonks ago thats its better to plug than pull off the connector.
either should work anyhow. depends if you can be bothered to lift the rear, get under the car to unplug it.

or cheat and park the passenger side on the kerb and then crawl under the gap, of course thats a lot easier on an unlowered car!

Tried unplugging mine ... FAILED .. that was one connector that did not want to come off .. save your self from a nightmare and just cap off the actuators port 2
Re: Mr2 boost control fitting advice/ idiots guide
My imported 1991 turbo I just undid the electrical connector. No problem. Much easier to revert back to stock when you need as well.
