I need to fit a new clutch to my Mk1b so I can refit the engine and gearbox back in the car. Are there any particular brands to look for/avoid or are they all pretty much the same?
Based on price alone the Exedy 3-piece kit seems solidly mid-range so currently leaning that way...
I just want a good quality OEM type item, no need for upgrades as the car is standard.
Thanks

Re: What clutch?
Exedy all the way
Clutch
I have always been very impressed with NKK clutches and always try to fit them to all of my Jap cars. They give a nice light smooth pedal action and they last really well. NKK is the OEM supplier for a lot Japanese built cars.

Re: What clutch?
Typical - I order an Exedy clutch kit and I get a Korean brand called Seco
Anyone know anything about them? I expect to know what I am paying for.
