Needing Some Help!

Post by se4njb7 »

Got a rev 3 turbo and fitted a new greddy profec oled boost controller, bosch 044 fuel pump, new ignition leads and disconnected the tvsv. So whenever I set boost to 13+psi and I go full throttle in lower gears the car jerks a couple times between 3-6k rpm. This however doesnt happen in 5th gear but sometimes it can do it occasionally. No idea what is causing this, has anyone have any ideas?

Cheers

Sounds like a misfire, checked the plugs, leads etc?

What spark plugs are fitted? you'll need a cooler grade of plug if you up the boost pressure.

Guessing no one has ever had this? Next thing I am going to replace is the dizzy cap and rotor arm. Then possibly the knock sensor.

swirl pot, relays etc... managed to sort the problem, turns out it was a dodgy ignition coil.
