I've got two technical questions about turbo's,
it's not my specialist subject, so hoping somebody will have some good information.1.Firstly I've got a hybrid turbo and I'm trying to identify the compressor wheel so that I can hopefully find a map for it.
Here are some photo's,
It's got 7 blades and is larger in both Inducer and Exducer than the CT26 wheel, but smaller than the T04e-46 trim.It's measurements are:
Exducer 68.9mm
Inducer 48.2mm
Height 24mm From base of fin
Calculated Trim: 49
Anybody recognize it?
2.Secondly a technical question on compressor wheels in general.
What is the effect of having a smaller compressor wheel, with a larger Trim?
For example I also have a CT27 turbo with a T04E-46 trim wheel.
The T04E-46 has a larger Inducer and Exducer diameter than the wheel shown above, however the Trim value is lower. - What effect, in terms of performance and efficiency of the turbo, does this have?Thanks
