Hi in the process of adding an additional heatshield to keep bay temps down as much as possible, to help even further id like to add some heat reflective tape on the underside of it.
Good cheap suggestions that wont peal off?

DEI reflect-a-cool, the gold stuff if you're a pimp.
I have got a source for some generic copies of the reflect-a-gold, but i've not tried it myself yet

Had this done to mine. Stock heatshield wrapped in Nimbus:

Yes ^^ , what Red suggested
Re: Heat reflective tape?
I dont care too much how the tape looks as itll be on the underside.
The shield ive made is polished! So thats enough bling already.
Way i see it, if theres some distance between 2 heatshields, then it will work much better than 1.

"Can Withstand Direct Heat Of Up To 200°C"
Good luck with that 5mm from the hottest component in the whole car.
Nimbus II is used to insulate from turbo/manifold heat sources on F1, WEC and WRC cars, as well as jet engines.
For the most extreme heat, choose the most extreme solution.
Re: Heat reflective tape?
I would use Nimbus II Pete .. my other suggestions the next best thing from looking on the net .

That's the "problem" with Nimbus II. It's so good, nothing come close.
Why not use Nimbus II jim? Seems the simple solution.
Re: Heat reflective tape?
I used the stuff from halfords very cheap and has been on a while and not come off
Re: Heat reflective tape?
Bare in mind i am still using the stock heatshield as well.
The new one there is a good 50-70mm away from the original.
So it should be getting less heat. 200c may very well be ok.

Why add another heatshield when one modified properly will look professional and do at least the same job?
Certainly a lot cheaper but depends where your priorities lie I guess.

Jim, the answer lies here:

How does something like that work when its in contact with the heatshield.
It will be radiating the same heat the heatshield is surely as its metal on metal?
If it was spaced away im sure it would be more effective.

You buy it as a sheet form it and cut it yourself over the existing heat shield.
