[Mk2] [Generic] Strut Brace Bolt Size ?

Will be fitting some new strut braces soon, can anyone tell me what size bolts ill need to fit them?

None, they fit under the nuts on the top mounts

My stock front brace doesn't bolt under them. I was under the impression that an aftermarket one would fit in the same location?

Yes most non oem replacement front braces fit like this using the inner bolt holes



So use the same size bolt as the oem brace at this point, but use all 4 holes. I can remember if it's the same size bolt as the oem brace uses in the middle.

It's the rear non oem brace that usually sits under the top mount nuts.

M10x1.25 (fine pitch) are the bolts I used to fit a struct brace at the front.
Can't remember the length though.

It's easy... the two bolts you take out from the bulkhead when removing the stock brace go into the extra holes for the aftermarket brace

I'v got an ultra racing one on order which looks to bolt to the firewall also so ill just see if we have any m10s at work that I can borrow for that.
