[Mk2] [Turbo] Anyone tried this brand of clutch?

Looking through ebay for my next clutch and was convinced on an exedy standard clutch for £149 + P&P. Then saw THIS and thought. Well, it apparently can hold more power. The found THIS which is still cheaper than the exedy standard spec clutch.

Has anyone used this brand or would you recommend either of these over the standard exedy clutch?

On another note, where's the best place to get a replacement gearbox as mine is whining a treat and is linked to input shaft bearings.

about 10 years ago, I had an XTD clutch from GTSchris. Never had any problems with it.

I now have an Excedy uprated clutch on my turbo, and again, no problems with that either.

Sounds promising. Would you recommend the stage 3 over the stage 2 for the £3 difference? I mean, would it make that much difference to how it engages since it's a different design?

you get what you pay for, for the money I'd take a quality standard replacement

The clutch is not an easy thing to change and if it goes wrong the work has to be done again I would keep clear of cheap parts made in China and go for a stock Toyota one.

I changed mine for an uprated organic exedy. It went really really bad so i picked an original toyota replacement (aisin clutch) and works flawlessly.
I'm starting to study several paths to improve the power (and detonation too) of my rev1... And again... i may be forced to change the clutch

I bought a exedy clutch.. haven't really done any milage on it yet but I would never consider cheap china crap on ebay.

That was my fault... I made a mistake buying it at ebay... Altough
I paid its normal price.(i was a newcomer to jdm cars) Exedy (Daikin Clutch) has a good reputation... But i'm afraid i'll never know if i bought a cheap and fake clutch or maybe it was my ex-mechanic fault.

Not one I would ever use, Toyota if a stock engine or one made in the USA for an upgrade like Act etc.

Who do you think makes the oem clutch?

Yeah, I've read up some bad and good reviews with XTD clutches via google and from what I've read they've had bad batch at one point and are supposed to be better than they were.

To be honest, if the OEM or another brand that people know is good can take 300bhp/ft-lb or maybe a little more then that would be ideal as I'm slowly buying bits to get a Rev 2 as near 300bhp as possible. Will probably leave it there as it'll be quick as a daily driver and keep me sorted until my next car.
