There was a group buy for engine cover gas struts with everything needed to fit (brackets, bolts etc) on MR2OC, I think he has a couple left.

I made the discovery that if you use two of these 120nm kitchen cabinet door rams....
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3210840599...84.m1439.l2649
They fit perfectly onto the engine lid side panels and with a few simple drill holes they fit.
Ignore the 3.0ltr VVti V6, total cost of both rams is £4 plus postage, never fitted them to a Mk2 yet but work very well on a Mk1.

I bought some of these when you last posted about them but wasn't sure how and where to fit on my rev 2 turbo. Anyone got any pics?

Not sure, best of asking Chris - most likely a different bracket for a turbo engine lid, perhaps?

These aren't sold anymore, any similar suggestions for a turbo lid? And equally for the frunk lid? The latter being an utter PITA when trying to store my sunroof in the current configuration!

Does the sunroof go in the frunk? That's cool. Does it bolt in somehow?

Anyone know where I can get some gas struts for the engine lid that don't require drilling?
