[Mk2] [Turbo] Apexi avcr mounting

Have a few ideas how to mount my avcr but wanted to see pics and opinions of mounting options to help firm up my choice and method.

Seen most fit them in the ashtray. Look alright there

Mine just sits where the ashtray should be, it'd look better if it had a purpose built mount that fitted in there.

The ash tray was my first thoughts/ obvious location, seems more than likely I'll make up a molded mounting then. Just trying to think outside of the box for a really neat location, but drew a blank hence the thread. Hmm...

Thats were i have my hks evc 5/6 .. its the back and white one (one before colour)... fits spot on .

i'm sure i seen custom holders for these that replaces the interior light, coolest location ever!!!

I'm currently planning to fit my oil temp, pressure and water temp gauges in the blower vent locations. Similar to the candy red mr2 build. Stolen idea but it looked very smart and in a good field of view.

Yeh now you mention it I do remember seeing a picture/ for sale of something like that. Having not run this unit yet does it flash whilst operating (my current gizzmo does) and if it was located up there i would imagine is very distracting and possibly hard to monitor/ adjust during set up/ tweaking.

Will have to sit in the car and think about that.

I've got as single din headunit in mine had have wedged the AVCR between the headunit and the heater controls, pointed slightly towards me and is wedged firmly enough that it won't move through normal use.
The slot where the ashtray goes holds my phone nicely
