Top effort mate, only thing I'd do if it were mine, would be to replace all that lairy yellow detail on the engine with black for a more oem look.

Great job with the swap, but that cc hosing is terrible, as you've already noticed. It is crap, certainly not to be used for this job.
Some 19mm Id rubber heater hose is what you really should use.
Not plasitc!
I would keep an eye on your hosing, as any heat in it, it kinks and bends!! Not good.

+1 agree with Jimgts here.
On my preevious CC set up it was installed using the same hosing
When it was removed to install my BMIC set up, the hose was kinked, part of the hosing had collapsed therefore impeding flow and was basically rubbish stuff to use for such an important modification
Id change it for the hosing Jim recommends, as on his old rev5 turbo, it never kinked and was more than up for the job

Top write up! Really enjoyed reading that! Seems i am not the only one that was looking for a rev 5 tbar in black! Lukily I managed to find one! Reading this makes me want to continue with my project now!
