Shame you crunched a TE37 - otherwise you could have sold them to easily cover the repairs :?

Glad to see others helping out and all the best in getting her straight again. I've got a set of R1-Rs on my other wheels but won't be driving on them much in the winter as they're not as good when it's colder. Like others have said, I drive quite timidly in anything other than dry conditions, although fortunately good tyres will really make a difference to these cars. Always remember they came out the factory with fancy Advans so just weren't designed for cheaper compounds.

Crunched both NS TE37's unfortunately :(

Having lifted her up on the forklift after work (), things aren't as bad as they could've been.

The rear NS lower arm which connects the hub to the underside of the subframe - the really chunky one - has sheared.. So that explains the wheel sitting skew in the arch! I've got a spare hub with arms sitting in the workshop so that can be sorted.

The driveshaft has also popped out, but the engine still runs perfectly and slots into all the gears without any crunches! Need to put the shaft back and get some new seals in so I can say for certain if the gearbox is ok though.

Aside from that it looks ok underneath, need to drive the car though and see how it feels but I'm feeling lucky on this one!

Just need:

Front and rear bumpers
Skirts
N/S door

Will probably go for Tom's kit, and a door shouldn't be too difficult to get hold of!

Thanks for all the support gents, much appreciated :thumleft:

Even though I'm not an MR2 guy any more, and the thought of repairing this does kind of scare me a little bit... xxxx amazed at the generosity and good spirit here. Well done everyone helping him out so far. I hope you do get it fully repaired and straight again! Amazing effort so far!
