UPDATE - NOW WITH TURBO LUMP Best mod I've done-Corner Weighting !!

Post by 2barGee »

Had all the geo done on my car and also got it corner weighted!

I'm so impressed with how much of a difference the corner weighting has made! Also found out the weight of my car 1128kg with 3/4 of a tank of petrol.

For the extra cost its a no brainier and I'd totally recorrmend it to anybody.
See my garage for details on my set up.

Do they do the corner weighting with you in the car. I found this link a while back on the DIY version.

Lol no not at all, just a cheap and easy way of getting closer to a solution rather than just second guessing at it.

From my post a while back when I got it done.

Today I got the car corner weighed. The car weighed in at 1219kg with 1/3 of a tank of fuel and without me in it. 1309kg with me in it! Yes, I will be dieting!
The guy that done the corner weighing for me told me that 'ideally' I will get the two cross weights equal, or as close to. These weights are based on a car that didn't have the tyre pressures checked prior to weighing and not knowing if the coilovers are equally/unequally adjusted (heights wrong etc). So this has gave me a good starting point...

Can you post some results?

Here are my results mate. Most of the engine sits to the right had side so it will always be more. Mine is an NA so I expect the weight to go up next year when I drop a tubby lump in.

Update - now running a rev5 turbo, moonroof & just had it corner weighted.

Front wheel and tool kit in the frunk & also a full tank of fuel, I'm pretty impressed as I thought there would be more of a difference between the na and turbo.
