Orange JDM front indicator - Legal in UK or not?

I'm seeing conflicting information on this, is anyone using these and passing MOT's etc?

Orange front indicators are totally legal. Orange is the only colour allowed for indicators.

Orange side lights are not legal in the UK.

They should have been changed to pass an SVA test on import.

Yep, full orange front indicator/sidelight lenses off an import should be an MOT fail.

Had my MR2 for 5 years.

First three MOTs my orange lights slipped by.

fourth MOT the tester failed it on the lights. I switched for UK lights

I, this week, have been told that it won't pass if they are in, however, I just swapped them over, and boom, done.

I like the look of the all orange front lights, but as said they are not actually road legal, also be worried about others glancing at the car at a junction thinking I am indicating and pulling out in front of me….

Old thread I know... but just wanted to mention my import celica has never failed an MOT with orange indicators in 10 years.. neither has either of my tubbys, currently got a rev4.. plus my mum has a Daihatsu import... with orange indicators lol,
Plus if they not legal, ive never been ticked off by the police..
I dont think MOT stations care anymore about them
