Boss kit for airbag model

Post by Runout Shadow »

Hi all,

I've replaced my standard JDM Toyota steering wheel for a MOMO in the past to a Rev3 but with a Rev 4 or 5 with an airbag, other than the process of carefully removing and deactivating the airbag etc.. do I require a boss kit that needs to be airbag compatible? As I've seen some boss kits saying "not for use with airbag model?" [-X

The steering wheel I'm going for is a Personal Neo Grinta 330mm with red stitching so the boss kit needs to be compatible for a Personal wheel too.
My car is a UK Rev5 model.

Any help would be appreciated as I can't find any answers on the net.

Thanks in advance. [-X

This boss kit 100% fits and works with the Rev5 airbag steering wheel as I bought the same one 2 weeks ago to use with my OMP steering wheel. Easy to fit, decent enough quality too.

If it helps i have a rev 4 which had an airbag, however, it is not an electronic one, it just pops out the steering wheel with no wires, old school pneumatic style. So i bought a "not airbag model" boss and it fit fine!
