Most power, or most power reliably? I did 420 flywheel on a 3037s, but EGTs were too high. The turbine housing is too small for big boost, IMO a good turbo to run 1.0 - 1.2 bar through and you're looking at >350hp with excellent spool :thumleft: :thumleft:

A gt3037s isn't good for much more than Ashley says bud... If any at all

The 3037s pro is good for about 450-470 and that's it. Depends on what you are after I guess. :)

Awesome turbo! Wish I'd never sold mine!!! :(

Mine was running 1.5-1.6 bar. Made 410bhp at 1.2 bar, but never got a figure at higher boost. Spool was seriously low!!! Great bit of kit!

Just by logic I'd say no. Gtx would spool earlier. The standard 3076 is good for 300bhp to 500bhp or 450 if you wanna be pedantic

What are your requirements?

Decide what you want, then pick a turbo based on that.

"Which turbo is better?" is totally subjective without a spec to work to.

Power: GTX3076r > HKS3037
Reliability: Can't see why there would be any difference, both are water and oil cooled ball bearing turbos
Spool: GTX3076r will probably spool up before the HKS3037 BUT this is hugely dependent on the size turbine housings you compare for each unit.

As far as I understand it, the HKS3037 is pretty much the same as the GT3076r, albeit they both come in different flavours (the HKS3037S I had featured a small turbine housing so spooled lower in the rev range, but couldn't flow more than about 420hp).

The GTX range features larger compressor wheels, and of a new design- so the GTX3076r is effectively a GT3079r in compressor wheel exducer sizing, but should spool lower in the rev range than the GT3076r and flow more power.

So....my guess is that the GTX3076r is a "better" turbo choice than the HKS3037, it should flow more power and spool earlier.

Is it a T3 housing? I'd say at 0.73 there's room to run a bit more boost, the only way to tell (unless you are measuring ex mani pressures) would be to see what happens to EGTs as you increase the boost gradually on the dyno.

445hp at 1.4bar is a nice result, I suspect you'll push a bit more out of it, but to run much over 1.5 / 1.6 bar you'll probably want a larger housing :thumleft:

You could also try water & meth injection, might help you get away with running higher boost :thumleft:
