Going to attempt wheel refurb on my rev2-5 style alloys. they're currently black which isn't to my taste.
Now, having done it before on a previous '2 with halords silver wheel spray the colour was too dark compared to o.e.
So, any idea's whats a good colour to use?

Re: Wheel refurb - what shade of silver?
I think the graphite grey standard wheels on the 10th anniversary MR2's look very good, that'd be the colour I'd go with.
Re: Wheel refurb - what shade of silver?
^Yeah, I think gunmetal looks good on the stock wheels.
Re: Wheel refurb - what shade of silver?
Not to my tastes.....just want the normal silver
Re: Wheel refurb - what shade of silver?
you mean rev2-3 wheels
Anyway, it depends on the colour of your car. For a light car like yellow or white, I'd go with darker (graphite/gunmetal/anthracite) but for a darker colour like 6M1 or SMG, i'd go with a bright silver. Just my tuppence.

You could colour match them to the standard MR2 paint code 199 Mettalic/Lucerne Silver
Re: Wheel refurb - what shade of silver?
Yep, of course, only rev2 and 3 had them in that finish, and the 5 wheels are completely different!
199...shall look into that, cheers

+1 that!
Re: Wheel refurb - what shade of silver?
May sound daft.
But I got mines done a bit different.
I didnt like gunmetal or sparkle silver or chrome so wanted something in between them all if that makes sense.
I got gloss black powdercoat first. Then wet paint a light coat of silver over them. 2 passes on each wheel or more depending how silver you want them to go. Then clear powder to finish.
It gives almost a shadow chrome effect but not to bling. Looks awesome against the black bodywork

Re: Wheel refurb - what shade of silver?
Alternatively you could get them diamond cut.
Diamond cut with black inners looks good.

Have to say that anthracite or graphite grey would look good.
