My new Rev 5.

Post by punkrockscreech »

So after owning a rev 1 UK N/A for 5 years now which I adore (she's a bit shabby but keeps me happy), then owning several Celicas, which I now own a 97 GT4. I bought the missus a rev 1 MR2 off a mates mom, its MOT is coming up and there's no way its going to pass so i trawled Autotrader to find her another MR2 or a Celica as a replacement.

I happened across a Rev 5 based locally at a very keen price, almost seemed too good to be true. So I rang the chap selling it saying that he had given first dibs to another guy, I asked if i could have a look at it anyway as he was so close, he agreed but told me the guy with first dibs was coming to view at the weekend. I left him my name and number and asked him to contact me if the other guy didn't want it. The other guy didn't show (FOOL!) so i gave him a deposit over the phone and arranged collection the next day.......so here she is...........

I cannot stress how clean this car is, its mint with only 49K on the clock! As you can see the car came with a hugely comprehensive history, owned by two elderly enthusiasts who decided to buy massive amounts of spare parts from Toyota "just in case"!!

It came with 12 months MOT, to get this MOT the chappy previous had replaced the two front tyres with Toyo Proxes and replaced the O/S front calliper, literally two weeks ago!! All this for the princely sum of.........wait for it........£1250!!

I AM STOKED!

looks awesome mate!!! I cannot understand sellers who do this, if somebody was coming to view a car i had for sale and then somebody offered me the cash on the spot, I'd politely tell the other potential buyer that the car had been sold.

Good buy though mate, the price was pretty low, the guy obviously just needed rid of it for whatever reason :thumleft:

He was a retired chap who had a lot of cars on the drive, including a Gen 7 Celica with only 19K on the clock!! Because he was such a decent fella i didn't want to push him into anything. But, alas it worked out for me!!

Cheers, hoping to make it to a few shows this year, either in one of the MR2s or the GT4.
