Oil

Post by sherwin1983 »

Hi,

Looking to do a quick oil change for MR-T Mr2 Mk1b.

What oil and filters do you recommend?

Cheers

GTX Magnatec 10w 40 or any other decent branded oil. I always use local motor factor oil filters.

I use Halfords own oil filters, never had a problem.
I also run mine on the cheapest damn oil I can find, never had a problem.
Just change it regularly.
I am going to live forever, or die trying!

Toyota filters are not expensive. A tenner with with the sump plug drain washer.

Funnily enough just about all Toyota oil filters fit, they seem to be mostly the same, so you'll have no problem getting one.

Use a 10w-40. Something like Magnatec is fine really.
