Hi everyone,
I have a small issue with my car. Basically it will boost until it hits fuel cut but after 4000 rpm it doesn't feel like the turbo has any effect. Any help appreciated. I have put the car back to actuator pressure to test but it's still not much better. It's a rev3 turbo.

Re: Still overboosting!
Check EVERY hose carefully for splits (including under clips), and check ALL clips.
Re: Still overboosting!
I have had a quick look but will have a more thorough look at it later. I take it you're thinking boost leak? Thanks for the quick reply Peter.

Re: Still overboosting!
sounds like higher pressure opening a split somewhere
or opening your BOV.
or opening your BOV.
Re: Still overboosting!
Found a small leak on the i/c pipes but still not sure if that's the cause. Will have to investigate later when the car cools.
Re: Still overboosting!
I would certainly check your BOV that it is sealing properly and the spring is still strong. It could be the pressure opening it letting boost out

If you are hitting fuel cut, your boost is way to high. I would think the ECU is running off the knock sensor.

Re: Still overboosting!
Well I checked the ecu codes and it showed 34 (boost cut) I reset the ecu and it felt normal again then it hit boost cut again and I'm back to square one.

Unplumb the boost solenoid so you have a hose between compressor and actuator. Then see what max. boost is.

I will give it a go tomorrow morning and post back. Think the car was in limp mode from the initial overboost so will also reset the ecu again. Thanks Peter.
Re: Still overboosting!
Tried that still hitting way too much boost. So I guess next is to check timing and also actuator.

Wastegate flap stuck closed would be my guess

Re: Still overboosting!
Is outlet pipe from actuator to VSV still fully blocked off?
Re: Still overboosting!
Yes I even put a different pipe on it to make sure it wasn't leaking. Going to try and track something down to put pressure through and see if it opens.
Re: Still overboosting!
So so far it is looking like my inlet cam is out by one tooth. I wonder if this is causing all the problems. I have a video of the actuator opening at the right psi with the downpipe removed. I can't see anything else wrong in the bay! Either way I will be replacing the belt as it doesn't look too good and no history of when it was last changed.

Haha sorry I missed your call yesterday. My phone was right next to me too! I take it by the reply that could be the issue?

IIRC is was one of my suggestions on the phone last week.

It was indeed. Thank you I will get that changed asap (Won't drive the car before) and hopefully I have a happy car again.
Re: Still overboosting!
Ok so I finally fitted the new belt and the car runs great up to about 4500rpm but then it's hitting 1.12 bar off actuator pressure and still doesn't feel like it is actually making that boost. Any ideas?
