So I learned my low fuel light doesn't work!

Post by Tsporter »

I fitted Yellowstuff pads earlier and took her for a quick spin. I hadn't driven her in 3 weeks so forgot I was nearly out of juice. I've only had the car a few months and just thought the low fuel light was very low on the gauge, but I was wrong
My dinner got cold! #-o

Is it as simple as a bulb blown you reckon?

I never fixed it tbh, even though I had the clocks out twice since then. :/

Any quick tests to test of if bulb or sender issue?

Here's the back of my speedo, I replaced the 4 backlighting bulbs with led's a while ago and didn't notice a bulb for the low fuel level....how do I get at it? And how do I test the sender?

I'm pretty sure the fuel level light is already an LED (never had it apart and looked at it but it has the appearance of an LED) so whilst it's possible, it's unlikely to have blown.
