[Mk2] [NA] Rear Trailing Arm Removal

Post by Tyrrell9 »

Hi all,

Trying to remove my rear trailing arms from the chassis mounts with not much luck.

Am I right in thinking they are held in just with the bolt, locking washer and nut, or are there any other threaded parts? I've managed to shear the bolt head off on one side which isn't helping.

Any tips appreciated.

That's it.

A decent pentrating oil like GT-85 or Plus Gas (not WD40) helps a lot.

If they're that bad, though, careful use of an angle grinder will help. ;)

New sets from your local Toyota dealer, not overly expensive as a rule.
