I believe there is a simple mod that can be made so that the headlight units will close down if the sidelights are on and the headlights are then flashed to warn other road users.
As they are at this moment they stay up and can only be returned to the flush position by switching the sidelights off.
As detailed elsewhere, I have tried cutting the red cable connected to the retract relay but this does not work on my UK Rev2. Maybe that mod was for a Mk1?
Any advice would be gratefully received

If you have a look on MR2OC there is a how to in the 'know your 2' I think.

I didn't just cut it I put a small in line fuse holder in place and when I need to raise the lights for maintenance I just put in a fuse.

Thanks for the info.
Done and working and have fitted a small tumble switch with 3M double sided tape so the head lamps can be made to stay up for cleaning or bulb changing.
