Honestly I reckon it works best with the silver!
The rears do need a lower offset though.

I have 30mm Hubcentrics for the rears Calum, the fronts are spot on.synXero wrote:Honestly I reckon it works best with the silver!

So another visit to Bexhill yesterday found me reassembling trim, interior and flatting some auxilliary parts such as my ganador mirrors, rear panel, door rubstrips and door handles. As all the glory job of painting is completed the stuff I was doing wasn't very much aesthetically just the practical stuff. Pat has already sealed all the wheel arches and they have been treated with inhibitor on the inside and with the textured rubberised underseal on the outside.
So next visit will be to fit front lights, and all the stuff that was flatted yesterday, refit some door rubbers and door trim. In the mean time Pat is going to finish and topcoat the door jambs and topcoat the wheel arches there is some fettling on the doors and that's pretty much it. So I thought I'd hold back on the pictures until that point.
I've also ordered a spoiler but it'll take a few weeks so happy to go bare-back until then to see if I prefer it.

Re: Torero's TRD Widebody Build Thread - Project Vendetta.
So after a week of 16 hours days trying to fix a network and then a fortnights holiday, I managed to get down to TRD HQ in Bexhill to be greeted by Patrick and the crew with a cup of coffee and the usual insults. As we're on the finishing staight I just got on with it and started by rebuilding the doors and fitting the lovely resprayed handles and trim and some additional sound proofing.
The sound proofing is all my handywork....it may not be pretty but it does the job.
Once both doors had been completed I then got on with the task of fitting all the rubbers seals to the roof, the interior trim fitted and finally the gas rams to the frunk. After this was done I got my first chance to see her in all her glory in the daylight and gave her a good wash in readiness for the final 'flatting' before polishing to a mirror finish.
This is how Vendetta looks at the moment and I have to say it's pretty good.
Front on.
And finally the ar$e end with the veted inspection panels and tubby lid.
Still liking the spoilerless look, I'm going to run with it for a while and see how it goes. I have got a TRD spoiler on order and 'll probably fit it as I sometimes think it needs something on the boot space.
I'm going to paint the spoiler blade in black so it matches the mirrors as I think the slight contrast just breaks up the colour. Check out the mirrors.
Going down on Saturday finish the polishing and add the badges, number plates etc and then I am hoping I can drive it home.

It should be a great testimony for anyone else wanting a kit or full fitting from Patrick, he really does an excellent job and is a top bloke to work with.

I'll get some on Saturday and post them up the weekend Nic. I can only take details from the markings though, as the strutws were unused but not in their original packaging.Nic wrote:Looking good

Re: Torero's TRD Widebody Build Thread - Project Vendetta.
So I went down to Patricks yesterday to give the car it's final power polishing and bring it back home with me. I really was looking forward to it and I wasn't dissapointed, it handled like a dream even with the spacers on the rear and the growl and torque of the Bodgesport V6 was the perfect soundtrack to drive back to London.
After thinking it through I'm convinced it needs the TRD spoiler, it's on order awaiting delivery, I did have doubts but seeing the car I am certain it would be the icing on the cake. I also have the diffuser to fit but as I can only get down to Paddy's once fortnight it seemed best to bring the car back as it is and do some shakedown testing on the kit and any fine tuning can be looked at when I return for the spoiler. That was the plan ......but there doesn't seem to be any need as there isn't any movement or creaking on the panels it just seemed right from the moment I drove it.
This is it outside the workshop.
and one for Chris Bodgesport Woods showing me working.....well doing something
I also took a few pics today, the first is my favourite.
and a close up of the vented bonnet.
It looks even better in the flesh, I just can't wait to do some serious hooning around in it.

Re: Torero's TRD Widebody Build Thread - Project Vendetta.
Looks absolutely superb in the pictures - please tell me you have a garage to park it in overnight even if you are living in London where such luxuries are hard to find and stupidly expensive.
Re: Torero's TRD Widebody Build Thread - Project Vendetta.
That looks fantastic man, the colour looks really nice as well.
You must be really pleased with it!

Re: Torero's TRD Widebody Build Thread - Project Vendetta.
So I haven't updated for some time but there are quite few changes and I'm really pleased, I've bonded a lot with the car over the Autumn and want to show the work Patrick has put in with the bodywork and want to show other little modifications.
To start, I got this adapter from Kelvin (Kayjay0_7)at a bargain price.
I then proceeded to spend quite few pennies on one of these, not cheap but then again you get what you pay for.
.....and coupled.
Finally, fitted in the engine bay. Great sound, very pleased with this.
