[Mk2] [Turbo] Weird engine noise (with video)

My MR2 started making this noise. When the engine is cold it's even worse. After running +/-2 minutes it only makes this noise when giving throttle (as seen in the video)

Sounds like valve train or exhaust mani leak. Try a stethoscope to narrow down where it's coming from.

A rev 2 turbo at the last track day we went to was making the same noise -exactly like that. Engine was recently rebuilt and sounded like it was coming from the head.

Found a small crack in the exhaust manifold, could this be the cause

Start it up and see if there's air coming from it.

Problem solved, the gasket between the head and the exhaust manifold was causing the problem
