Replacing Rev 4 airbag wheel with aftermarket and MOT?

Post by bluesmoke »

Can you just put it back on at MOT time, as I presume removal would be a failure? Seen a car that could be a potential base for a turbo conversion but obviously it has the airbags.

Also for a car that will go on track, I guess you'd have to pull a fuse for said airbags to disable the one in the dash? Just wouldn't want to worry about either going off when the fuse is replaced and the battery reconnected

I'm pretty sure UK mkII MR2's were never fitted with passenger side airbags. Only the JDM Rev4 / 5 Models did...

Must have been home built job.

Toyota EPC does not show a dash assembly with passenger airbag for any UK SW20 MR2s 1989-1999.

No, it's not a UK car by the looks of it. Has import plate etc.
